Free Flowing

As my hubby always calls me, "gypsy or Pocahontas". Here is another interpretation of boho chic, a trend that will never lose its appeal in the fashion world. What I love most about this trend is the carefree spirit it exudes. As they say it gypsy look is more of a state of mind rather than a fashion trend that will eventually fade out in time.

I have chosen this outfit yesterday in commemoration of the Holiday called " Tiradentes". He is a national hero of Brazil who has fought for Brazil´s full independence from Portuguese colony. I usually work half day on Saturdays but yesterday was a non-working holiday thus the taste of barbeque (again!) and caipirinha at friends´ house here in Campinas.

F I E R C E N E S S

Crop top. Braided hair. Extra large earrings. Denim shorts. Fierceness to sum it all up. On being a woman I would consider myself fierce. The persistent gut to try anything she wants no matter how difficult it may seem is exactly what a fierce woman should be. The infinite strength that she possess in all the cirmcustances she may face. In fashion, being fierce is feeling fabulous regardless of what color, size, age and height you have - creating you own style from just being you. Cheers to all fierce women out there!

Maxi Skirt for Spring/Summer

When hot season comes it does not mean that a bottom ending below the calf called maxi skirt can´t be worn anymore. Wearing maxi skirt is all about casualness and romanticism. What to mix the skirt with this spring/summer season after the jump.

a  printed maxi with vibrant color goes real well with a basic tank top. this kind of top balances the vibrance of the skirt. with the hem showing your ankle, a ballet flat can is the best option. top tucked in creating a continous silhouette.

a floral silk maxi paired with a gold top for a friday night out. hem almost touching the floor graced by a wooden platform. the shimmery top balanced by the relaxed print of floral  .

both lightweight maxi and buttoned-down shirt. the slim silhouette of the skirt goes well with an open-toed ankle boots in striking yellow gold.

maxi skirt with a crop top and a wedge for a bohemian vibe.

Short or tall ladies can both don a maxi skirt. Height was never an issue. Just that when you are vertically challenged try to avoid bold prints as it steal your stature.

Piling Necklaces

Inspired by the ancients, solid metal jewelries are trending this autumn/fall 2011. The trend is surely simple, minimalist and clean. But how can you wear solid metal jewelry either gold, bronze or silver in spring/summer? Olivia Palermo once again showed a mix of trend in an accessory. The pile of necklaces with a  solid metal and few strands in colorful beads made the look summery.

70's Boho

I never thought that shopping for white ensemble would be that tough. I had 3 days to go around shopping centers in Sao Paulo, Jundiai and Itupeva but the stores couldn't seem to satisfy my sense of style. Noon of 31st December when I decided to go for this embroidered  white dress. It wasn't exactly what I wanted to wear for New Year's Eve but with time constraints I opted to create 70's Bohemian look out of it.

As effortless as it is, Boho look was achieved by a flowing dress with an interesting embroidery.

chunky chandelier earrings

a pile of thin bangles and a chunky wedge

A blessing in disguise, I stayed comfortable with this look the whole night. Another fashion emergency got served. Happy New Year Everyone! Feliz Ano Novo!
