Inconsistently Cold or Warm

August is inconsistently cold or warm in Brazil. One day it is sunny, following day gloomy, then rainy, freezing the next. This week, just from Monday to Thursday the pattern was like this. If you are a tourist planning to visit Southeast part of Brazil in August you better prepare all types of clothing. Winter in Brazil comes in spurts contributed by series of cold fronts from Argentina.

Today was chilly despite the raging heat from the sun. It is me and my tripod once again. This time outside the lake. In an almost all-black ensemble before sunset I took advantage taking photos on a street where cars seldom pass.

Colours of Winter

An interpretation of blackout in winter. Colours of gray, orange, gold, brown, purple and red rolled into a winter ensemble. Six colors (ohh consider that seven ´coz by nail polish is blue) could be so tricky to mix in an outfit but it blended due to the it´s tone. Gray and brown are nuetral colors while orange, red,  and gold are on the burnt tone.  One great outfit suited for the premiere night of a fantastic movie Harry Potter (Deathly Hallows p2).

50´s Winter

So this is how winter in 1950´s appear? A full skirt winter floral dress from House of Fraser A/W 2011 Lookbook. The bag design is so familiar. It´s like I´ve seen it from my late grandma. Should you be invited to a wedding in winter this is a perfect ensemble.

9-yr Old Camel Boots

Do you ever have that shoes that you can´t give away? Mine is this Celine camel ankle boots that´s been with me for 9 long years. This was my uniform when I had my review for the CPA Board Exam. An item that I guess inspired me to attend review classes ( I got my license!). Love at first sight was the story of this boots. The camel was so attractive and was quite eccentric to wear it then. How time flies. I maybe an accountant by paper but my heart is not just into it. Still love this boots though...

Non-Traditional Tights

I was dubious about wearing tights another than the traditional smooth and without design ones. Captured this inspiration from Elle Brazil Magazine April 2010. Perhaps, I´ll try using it one of these days. From the photo it seems like it has to be black paired with a non-complicated black outfit.

Sweet Grey Cardigan (Project Button)

So here´s the ensemble for the Project Button grey cardigan from the previous post. See how the buttons gave life to the cardigan? The outfit also showed how to wear an eggplant tights/pantyhose. It added zest to the predictable monocromatic hue of grey-black.
