Espadrilles

Man! I need a pair. Espadrilles in wedge type with at least 3 inches in heels. Colorful and lightweight. I hope to find one soon. My old banana republic espadrille (shown here)  still useful but it´s in conservative color of beige and black. Summer 2011 - 2012 means color after all. Espadrilles of this kind is real sexy and romantic paired with either shorts, dress, denim pants, or skirt. Espadrille sensation is going to continue in 2012 as seen in London Fashion Week Spring 2012 Collection by Mulberry (beige and orange espadrilles above) and Jonathan Saunders (green&yellow espadrilles).

50´s Winter

So this is how winter in 1950´s appear? A full skirt winter floral dress from House of Fraser A/W 2011 Lookbook. The bag design is so familiar. It´s like I´ve seen it from my late grandma. Should you be invited to a wedding in winter this is a perfect ensemble.

Quite a Pair - Orange & Pink

Ok. We girls have at least a piece or two of pink clothes in our closet. But how many of you has orange? Not every girl likes orange? How about a mix of orange and pink in an outfit? It´s quite a pair! Vivid colors of orange and pink combined can defintely create a bold refreshing style. Look at these inspiration below. First photo as my favorite look accessorising the outfit with turquoise. Yummy!

Other color combination that you may want to try are turquoise-yellow and red-purple.

Cheerful Bubble Gum

Reported by WhoWhatWear was this trend called bubble gum stripes. A shift from your usual black and white - blue and white alterations is this brighter cheerful stripes as dictated by S/S 2011 Runways of Prada, Celine, Fendi and Marc Jacobs.

If you are still confused on what range of colours are included on the bubble gum stripes here is the palette.

Or better yet, just think about the bubble gum that flows out from the vending machine.

The key to this trend is pairing it with solid separates. If you're wearing a bubble gum striped skirt, a solid top must be worn. Mixing one to two bold colors is also advised. Yey! can't wait to create my own ensemble.

70's Boho

I never thought that shopping for white ensemble would be that tough. I had 3 days to go around shopping centers in Sao Paulo, Jundiai and Itupeva but the stores couldn't seem to satisfy my sense of style. Noon of 31st December when I decided to go for this embroidered  white dress. It wasn't exactly what I wanted to wear for New Year's Eve but with time constraints I opted to create 70's Bohemian look out of it.

As effortless as it is, Boho look was achieved by a flowing dress with an interesting embroidery.

chunky chandelier earrings

a pile of thin bangles and a chunky wedge

A blessing in disguise, I stayed comfortable with this look the whole night. Another fashion emergency got served. Happy New Year Everyone! Feliz Ano Novo!

Polished Ponytail

The less special hairstyle you wear when working out has recently become the glamorous look for formal affairs. Polished ponytail is so effortless and almost if not all women can do it themselves (unless she has a pixie cut). For your next formal, save those pennies and do your own polished look with these simple guide:

 1. blowdry your hair using a round brush
 2. gather the hair at the back (at least few inches from your nape)
3.  secure the gathered hair with an elastic band
4.  wrap the elastic band with small piece of hair to conceal it
5. apply light mousse or serum to achieve a well-groomed look

That easy!
