Nivea Brasil Projeto Fashion Black & White

Remember when I blogged about Summer Neutrals (here), submitted the look to Nivea Brasil´s Projeto Fashion Black and White in partership with two famous brazilian bloggers. Today, a partner blogger Um Ano Sem Zara chose my entry (w/another 2) for her blog. Am just overwhelmed by it. Call it fulfillment.

Short Shorts and Crochet Vest

This is my interpretation of a girly way of wearing a denim shorts. Pairing it with a lingerie thrown with a crochet vest over. Completing the ensemble with a wedge. Not all girls have the courage to wear denim shorts. Unless she is the boyish, athletic or wants to try fashion type, she wouldn´t wear it. For me it´s just a matter of balance. If you are so much in touch with your femininity, grabbing that girly top and accessories can pave your way to loving denim shorts.

Hey, denim shorts is my favorite kind of bottom during hot season. Got several pairs in my closet and I´ll be making several posts on how I wear them.

Mixing Prints - J.Crew NYFW Spring 2012

Love it how J.Crew Spring 2012 mixed prints in its collection. It showed an endless possibility on mixing different prints in an ensemble. Two to three prints in one outfit that complements and clean-looking still.

Making Neutrals Pop

Lots of us are kind of afraid of adding bold colors to our neutral outfit. We always want to be safe. Safety then is achieved by wearing an all neutral outfit. This post has the intention of taking our doubts in adding accents (or making it all out) to our neutral rigs. The less risky nautical, khaki and olive, and stone and gray combined with non-neutral palettes making bold statement.

Platform Heels

I never thought that a 4-inch heel will be as comfy as wearing wedges. Hurray! Whoever created the first platform heels, you are brilliant. Sexiness of heels and comfort of wedges rolled into one. With the hint of retro glam that can well work with 70s look, I picked this Dumond shoes.

Last night while reorganizing closet I stumbled into this stripe tube dress and came into an idea of using it as a skirt. Worn it under a black shirt with chiffon sleeves cinched with a belt somewhere between the waist and the hips creating a daytime wear.

Inconsistently Cold or Warm

August is inconsistently cold or warm in Brazil. One day it is sunny, following day gloomy, then rainy, freezing the next. This week, just from Monday to Thursday the pattern was like this. If you are a tourist planning to visit Southeast part of Brazil in August you better prepare all types of clothing. Winter in Brazil comes in spurts contributed by series of cold fronts from Argentina.

Today was chilly despite the raging heat from the sun. It is me and my tripod once again. This time outside the lake. In an almost all-black ensemble before sunset I took advantage taking photos on a street where cars seldom pass.

Pretty Pair : Red Dress & Nude Pumps

Red is such a powerful hue. To balance an ensemble with a red dress, it is but perfect to don it with subdued nude pumps. What a pretty pair!

Back to Basic

Glamorous basic look. Kristen Stewart  in blue skinny jeans, black cotton shirt, black pumps and neutral make-up. A look that you can create easily and can be donned for most events other than formal. Another reason to have that black pumps.

Pink+Red+Nude

When I created this ensemble, I knew it there was an air of fun in that outfit. The combination of pink, red and nude is quite interesting. Emma Stone from last night´s premiere of the movie Friends with Benefits donned the same color combination. From the previous color blocking trend, pink was paired with orange. Indeed, any block of colors can be combined in an outfit. As my blog description says, endless possibilities...so is color blocking.

Wearing a Scarf - 25 Ways

Colours of Winter

An interpretation of blackout in winter. Colours of gray, orange, gold, brown, purple and red rolled into a winter ensemble. Six colors (ohh consider that seven ´coz by nail polish is blue) could be so tricky to mix in an outfit but it blended due to the it´s tone. Gray and brown are nuetral colors while orange, red,  and gold are on the burnt tone.  One great outfit suited for the premiere night of a fantastic movie Harry Potter (Deathly Hallows p2).

Mixing Prints

Donned mixed prints for a saturday night date with my hubby. A polka dot marine-coloured scarf  from a vintage shop in the Philippines was paired with a Zara stripe top. Contrary to a striking wardrobe which can be achieved by additional print re floral, I chose to wear plain black jacket thus keeping it basic. The night was celebrated in an italian festival followed by an unplanned movie treat.

9-yr Old Camel Boots

Do you ever have that shoes that you can´t give away? Mine is this Celine camel ankle boots that´s been with me for 9 long years. This was my uniform when I had my review for the CPA Board Exam. An item that I guess inspired me to attend review classes ( I got my license!). Love at first sight was the story of this boots. The camel was so attractive and was quite eccentric to wear it then. How time flies. I maybe an accountant by paper but my heart is not just into it. Still love this boots though...
