Natural Yogurt Cake

With all cake recipes available on countless baking websites it is hard to select the best ones. The best way to get a recipe is from someone who has baked a cake you have actually tasted and pigged. In this particular recipe it was Ms. Cassia from whom I´ve learned the recipe. A simple moist cake that uses natural yogurt instead of ordinary milk. 

Ingredients

1 cup (170g) natural yogurt

4 eggs

2 cups flour

2 cups refined white sugar

1/2 cup vegetable oil

1 tbs baking powder

Note: Use yogurt cup which is 170g to measure the ingredients

Procedure

Mix all the above ingredients using a blender for 5 mins

Pour the batter in a baking pan (basic baking procedure: spread and sprinkled with butter and flour respectively all over). My cake got a brown color as I sprinkled chocolate powder instead flour in the pan.

Place in a pre-heated oven for 45 mins in 180-210 degrees.

Now I have this cake recipe I can count on and a blog to keep recipes I can´t lose.

No Make-up Look

Revealing my daily no make-up look and what products made it. 

1. Clinique Palette - darkest color of eyeshadow for my eyebrows and all the rest as eye shadows, blush and        the lighter shade of lippies. thanks to my sister for sponsoring.

2. L ´oreal Glam Bronze Sun Radiance Trio (Brunette) - for that natural glow. from duty free Istanbul, 12 euros

3. Boticario Intense Lipstick Matte Effect (131) - as a base for clinique lipstick from the palette above, Brazil R$ 14,00.

Aside from the above products I also use Maybelline Mascara (volume) and Payot Black Eyeliner Pencil (apply quite thinly).

Timeless Piece

First worn in November of 2008 for a friend´s wedding in the Philippines, this stripe dress has been gracing my closet and several events since then. Can you remember this post when I used it as a skirt? It´s just one of those pieces I could not dispose. Love how it hugs my bod, timeless design and color, and a type of fabric that does not get old - this dress is everything.

Classic in Autumn

This is the week when chills have really started blowing. You can´t anymore leave the house without a piece to layer your top. Here am I sharing my very first cold season ensemble for 2012. A classic long sleeves layered with a knit paired with a super skinny jeans.

May 1, Labor Day. It marks a new beginning for me. The school where am working has new owners. I am very excited about the changes and challenges that will happen. My optimism is also up that the renewed institution will bring a brighter future both for the staffs and my dear students.

01 de maio, Dia do Trabalho. Ele marca um novo começo para mim. A escola onde estou trabalhando esta com donos novos. Estou muito empolgado com as mudanças e os desafios que vão acontecer. Meu otimismo é também o que a instituição renovada vai trazer um futuro melhor tanto para os funcionários e os meus queridos alunos.

I just need to blog about this. Best makeup remover ever. Since my sister introduced the product to me I have added it in my beauty routine and ditched out the other brand. Gentle on skin yet very effective in removing waterproof and long lasting makeup. It quickly dries on your skin and leaves no oily feel on it. Grab it for US$ 12. 

Free Flowing

As my hubby always calls me, "gypsy or Pocahontas". Here is another interpretation of boho chic, a trend that will never lose its appeal in the fashion world. What I love most about this trend is the carefree spirit it exudes. As they say it gypsy look is more of a state of mind rather than a fashion trend that will eventually fade out in time. 

I have chosen this outfit yesterday in commemoration of the Holiday called " Tiradentes". He is a national hero of Brazil who has fought for Brazil´s full independence from Portuguese colony. I usually work half day on Saturdays but yesterday was a non-working holiday thus the taste of barbeque (again!) and caipirinha at friends´ house here in Campinas.  

Como meu marido sempre me chama, "cigana ou Pocahontas". Aqui está outra interpretação do Boho Chic, uma tendência que nunca vai perder o seu apelo no mundo da moda. O que eu mais amo esta tendência é o espírito de independencia ele exala. Como eles dizem que bohemian look é mais um estado de espírito ao invés de uma tendência de moda que acabará por desaparecer no tempo.

Eu escolhi essa roupa ontem na comemoração do feriado chamado de "Tiradentes".Ele é um herói nacional do Brasil que lutou para a independência total do Brasil decolônia Português. Eu costumo trabalhar meio dia aos sábados, mas ontem foi um feriado, assim, o sabor de churrasco (de novo!) E caipirinha na casa de amigos aqui em Campinas.

Alleviating Good Friday Slump

Good Friday. Holiday. No mass neither a procession to attend (at least in Barao Geraldo). Rather than confining ourselves inside a studio-type apartment me and hubby decided to drive around Barao Geraldo. Took majority of these shots at one of the most expensive village in Campinas. 

In a religious way Good Friday is supposed to be a quiet time giving way to reflection and repentance. We are not a fan of strictly following all those religious activities but we do believe in doing good to others in our day to day living. Our faith is in HIM.  

Paixão. Feriado. Nenhuma misa nem uma procissão para atender (pelo menos em BarãoGeraldo). Em vez de limitar-nos dentro de um kitnet dirigimos em torno de Barão Geraldo. Levou maioria desses tiros em uma villa o mais caro em Campinas.

De uma forma religiosa Paixão é presumivel ser um momento de silêncio dando lugar à reflexão e ao arrependimento. Nós não somos um fã de seguir rigorosamente as atividades religiosas, mas nós acreditamos em fazer o bem aos outros em nossa vida do dia a dia. Nossa fé está Nele.

The combi of black and neutral stripes skirt paired with another nude top and glittery flats come out like a whole outfit dancing in rhythm. As always I celebrate their mix. In one of the open bakeries yesterday in Barao Geraldo, Romana, we treated ourselves with a typical brazilian finger food called "salgadinhos" and cappuccino. Still an abstinence as we deprived ourselves of their buffet afternoon tea and happy night.

A Whole New World in Brazil

Now living in one of the major cities in Sao Paulo called Campinas. Me and my hubby are finally together again after being away for 70 days. We are starting to build our home as we have decided to live independently from my in-law. A whole new world as it is for us - a lot of new people whom I barely know thus, only time can tell if we could call them friends. Happening at a time are new opportunities coming our way.

For our first photo shoot in this new city, we have chosen UNICAMP, a state university which Campinas is known for. Reminds me a lot of the University of the Philippines - huge campus! Lucky are those who can make it here in the university for tuition fee is totally free. Miscellaneous fees are even free in contrast with University of the Philippines´system.

Agora, vivendo em uma das principais cidades de São Paulo, chamada Campinas. Eu e meu marido estamos finalmente juntos de novo depois de ter ficar afastados durante 70 dias. Estamos começando a construir a nossa casa, já que decidimos viver de forma independente da minha sogra. Um mundo totalmente novo, como é para nós - um monte de gente nova que eu mal conheço, portanto, só o tempo poderá dizer se podemos chamá-los de amigos. No momento, surgem novas oportunidades que vêm em nossa direção.

Para o nosso primeiro ensaio fotográfico nessa nova cidade, nós escolhemos a UNICAMP, uma universidade estadual pela qual Campinas é muito conhecida. Lembra-me muito da Universidade das Filipinas - campus enorme! Têm muita sorte aqueles que podem estudar aqui na universidade, porque matricula é totalmente gratuita. Diversas outras taxas também são gratuitas, em contraste com a Universidade das Filipinas.
